I have hung out with a few sleazy perv people. Some I consider to be good friends. These people tend to get girls constantly, nice ones too both physically and in personality.
Yet the girl never sees the end coming until its over. I just don't get it. Its like the very thing that attracts girls to these people is what ultimately ends the relationship, but yet it is always a surprise. The girls even know that they’re attracted because of the sleaze factor. Damn I should be more of a sleaze.

I think you may have taken what I said as a little to anti Kikyo.
Kagome is second sometimes.
I should have explained that better. Inuyasha is simple. He can only focus on one thing at a time. Kikyo pops up and that’s what he thinks about. It is his strength in that if Kagome is in trouble he can fight no matter how beat up a state he is in. On the other hand it makes it hard for him to focus on two girls at once.
You should read my first posts. My very first, a few pages ago, maps out the relationships fairly well. Sometimes its hard to jump in later when people are already making references to things said before.
Respect
It is true that after Kagome takes pity on Kikyo in front of Kikyo she earns some of her respect. Depends on time frame I suppose.
That not a knife
I thought the knife scene was lame myself.
Though I would not read the manga just from the first few episodes of the show. The start is a little slow for too many episodes (about 3 or 4 I guess which probably comes out as a book or two depending on the artists.) The episodes were too full of internal monologue by Kagome. (One explanation is enough. Too much recap. Ahhhhh.)
Kill 'em All
As for the Kill 'em All (Metallica reference...nevermind) thing. I meant those involved in the tragedy; Inuyasha, Naraku, and herself. (This is another at first thing.) The one she wants dead the most 'eventually' becomes Naraku. But she is taking innocent souls to sustain her existence, come to think of it. ( I can’t remember if it is from those already dead or not. If their dead already she probably planned to release them once Naraku is dead, so it is okay. )
My point about her being powerless to live the life she wants in both death and life is still very valid.
Freedom
Again a time frame issue about freedom. I wasn't saying permanently. The jealousy comes from more than that scene. Refer to the above point about the powerless side Kikyo’s plight. I threw in jealousy myself just as a related topic before.
Oh one more thing Oublliette. I see this a lot so don’t feel bad. The word
canon gets used oddly by anime fans.

At least you spelled it right. The other person did to, but a lot people go pirate and stick an extra 'n' in the word. Slight misuse plus a misspelling that can cause confusion.
(You know misspell is another frequently misspelled word. Most put only put one 's'. Kind of ironic like the word lisp having and 's' in it.) Not that I am beyond grammar, word, and spelling answers. That why I only like typing and not writing.
Canon
The actual definition of canon is a standard of judgement. It usually refers to a norm or something that is typical. It often has to do with form and how well something meets predetermined criteria.

(Think it was my first maybe second. It was near the beginning and long, so it stands out.)
I diagram out the relationships with some descriptions. I choose Kagome for reasons I have in other posts. I still pity all involved especially Kikyo.
Hope that clears up the interpretation of what I wrote before.
