They will not let me have an avatar. I could have a sig but i didnt want to change the hight because then you cant see crap.

Look anime is a type of cartoon. I mean come on just cause someone is not well versed in the difference between american, japanese, french, ect. types of 'toons does not mean that anime (japanese animation) is not a cartoon. Cartoon is a very broad heading including everything from comics, to computer animation, to claymation, to of course, anime. Dun get upset cause they don't know that the specific category of the 'toon is anime. I mean getting bent is just path, but then again if you explain the difference maybe then they would use the correct term. Do what you want though, 'toons rock whether they be anime or comics share your wealth of knowledge they may be able to show yas somtin new if you do. Luvs yall people.

Or... we could say animation is the broad heading. Then it spilts off into sub-categories about cartoons, anime, ect (can't think of others

Anime aren't types of Cartoons. Anime are types of Animations. Cartoons are types of Animations. Anime are Cartoons are not the same in any way.

If you're having trouble grasping this idea, try this :
A negative number is a type of number. A positive number is a type of number. They are not the same. They are clearly opposite. Even if they both are numbers.
