Read the "secret files" in the back of the later volumes of the manga. Personally, I never said she wasn't the latter, and I don't see why she can't be both. And do remember spoiler courtesy for those who haven't seen the series.

Rei isn't an albino; there is no hard evidence what-so-ever. Rei's hair isn't white, and her skin isn't pale. One characteristic hardly makes someone albino. If there are characteristics of albino-ism I do not know about, please detail them for me becuase what I've said is probably wrong, but as for pale skin-white hair-red eyes, it's quite an extreme jump to just assume Rei is an albino.

Sometimes.

Sometimes it's not.

Light skin isn't uncommon. Sometimes my skin is extremely "pale" but I don't think that qualifies me as an albino.

Dude, it's a cartoon, it's always the same. It's not like if you put her udner a diffeent lighting she looks different.

She is WHITE, all the time. That's pretty effin pale to me.

I'm not calling her albino, but you can't tell me she doens't look pale. She's nearly as white as her plug suit.

Watch a bunch of episodes and pay close attention to her skin. Her skin color varies. I could post pictures but it's such a hassle to put pics up on Geocities just to use them on a forum once. Maybe it's just a "cartoon" but that can't change Rei's varying skin color. You aren't looking close enough if you think she's always almost as white as her plug suit.
