Romance: Lack of truly romantic without major comedy elements however I am a sucker for Video Girl Ai
Action: I seem to hafta have comedy in my action as well... So, Trigun
Horror: Haven't seen many of those however either Lain or Evangelion (turning into goo is kinda creepy)
Mech: Evangelion (got hardcore at times) and Nadesico
