What do you run to anime for?

Lol, my reason is kinda embarrassing, but it is b/c i started watching anime b/c a girl i liked told me to. Nowadays, i just watch it to get a sense of fulfillment as the character does. While watching an anime, i like to imagine that i am the main character, and at the end of the story (as long as the end is good) I get a HUGE emotional boost from it. I also like watching anime, b/c it is much more refreshing than anything else on tv, but that is a secondary reason.

i like violence, and i don't know any anime that doesn't have it.
