well i know that ... they do that for any anime that gets aired for kids. They did the same thing for DBz, i remember never seeing any blood, jsut lots of scratches and black stuff every now and then ... plus i was told that they changed a bunch of the attack names around ... a friend of mine said that the spirit bomb was called the fudge sunday attack or soemthing weird liek that .. though he was problaby just exadurating the difference between the english and japanese versions ... but still ... i saw about ... 10 min of hamtaro .. the funny thing is that none of it had the sound on it ... we had system of a down blaring over the muted tv ... it was funny watching the hamsters lip-sync system of a down ... lol ... "WHY THE FUCK DID YOU TAKE HIM AWAY FROM US MOTHERFUCKERS!" ROFL ... you should try that one day ...shocker wrote:Well, Hamtaro is considered to be childish, but when it got dubbed, they probably took out the stuff that's innapropriate for kids. The same goes to Pokemon too.
It's just that most of what's appropriate for kids in Japan is different from what is appropriate for kids in America.
why the hell do I love watching Hamtaro?!

I dunno why...
I don't know why, but I can't help watching Hamtaro. My sister is a bigger fan of Hamtaro than I am, and she is 23. Funny story. Her husband was at work and he saw this girl watching Hamtaro, and he shouts "My wife watches that show!" The girl looked at him weird.
But I have seen a disturbing, yet hilarious, anime in my school's anime club called Ebichu, the Housekeeping Hamster. I haven't laughed this hard since I saw the AMV that features Imperfect Cell Lv.2 singing the "Meow Mix" jingle (yay Aluminum Studios)!
I can't believe they don't have the Sub version of this show on DVD. Oh well, who cares.
