Subtitles.

Good for watching anime with Japanese dialouge.
Bad for making music videos with.

Thus endeth the lesson.

also another solution to the mess...subs from the anime are bad for vids, doesn't matter what language it's in, you don't hear the dialogue in the amv....most of the time
but it's funny when amv creators put their own subs in with japanese dialogue to make it seem that the character is saying sumtin else
-recalls NMHK's new vid with Z-Mind:lol:
If you're reading this, you've gone too far...PREPARE FOR RETRIBUTION!!
Don't judge an AMV by it's anime.. u nooB ;D

This is my personal opinion on this matter:

Trigun dub > Trigun sub

There, I said it *ducks

Anyways, I don't think it really matter who likes what, if something sounds better to you then just go with it. What really did it for me was the English Vash's laugh. Also, as the series goes on the dub gets way WAY better. In the 23rd ep (paradise) *SPOILERS* Wolfwood did what I felt to be an absolutely AMAZING job with the death scene, the closest any anime has ever come to making me cry. On top of that Vash's voice whenever he talks about Rem or his past is phenominal, he switches from Comedy to Drama very seemlessly, and is quite good at doing both. I'll admit, after watching the first ep I was a little disappointed, but as things progressed he really grew on me.

If anyone flames me for this then all I gotta say is get the fuck over it. I like what I like, and you won't change my mind. I have no problem with you liking the sub better.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

I think Meryl and Milly's voices are TERRIBLE in the Trigun dub. Every time Meryl talks I want to stab myself in the eardrum to make the pain stop.

Personally I like the sub voices better, but the dub is better simply because Vash is done by a former Power Ranger.

I like the subs better.

However, you could also get the show RAW and download external subtitles. Too bad they're usually hard to come by, though.
I like bugging people. Deal with it.

I really can't say much for the trigun dub becasue i have only seen the cheap fan sub (i'm assuming its a fas sub becausae of the excessive use of the words yardz, ilez and 60 000 000 000$ dollar man, in place of yards miles and 60 000 000 000$ man[no point to saying dollar twice] )

But i have had a few bad experiences with dubs .. namely Akia, Eva and Wings of Honneamise. I've also had other bad experiences, but that was mostly bad anime that was to be blamed. the only good experience i've had with dubs was ninja scroll, that one didn't seem too bad. In general i perfer subs, you can still get the original emotions the VA's are trying imopse, you get teh full unedited story line, your exposed to a forign language (anime may eventualy inspire you to try to learn japanese or what ever languae the show is in) and you get good practice reading.

But nothing beets Bruce Lee Sr movies ... god the english tracks for those movies are so terrible ... exspecialy since i know what he sounds like when he speaks in english. lol, it's so funny, i just watched "Return of the dragon" ... the part just before he fights Chuck Noris is so funny ... the cat meows to start the fight ... but the bloody cat was dubbed! they dubbed the cat! ... it just sounds like a person getting his testicles crushed with a hammer ... god it was funny ... we must have listened to that cat about ... 12 times ... i'll never got over that ... never if i ever manage to rip that it'll be on my sound scheme for some critical error or somethign ... lol

no need to get violent, thats jsut his personal preference ... if he was saying that teh dub was better (or even the sub) for any reason then i would feel that you'd be jsutified at throwing the bottle at him. This is solely a matter of personal preerence, he's free to like what ever he desries to. If he happens to like the dubbed version of trigun, then so be it ... i saw the sub first, and i liekd it, if i see the dub, odds are that i'll hate it. But that again is just my opinion, and like ssj's opinion, it holds no actual weight, just like yours and any one elses.
