LoL... I have that same complex... It's also played in a couple of other anime, i think. I'm pretty sure I heard it before Boogiepop as well... I loved Beyond, one because of that song XD and two... I wanna jump off things and not hit the floor XD I also loved the Detective Story, very classy and reminded me A LOT of Cowboy Bebop. That was excellent ^^ And of course I'd have to love Osiris cause, well... it's Square! XD I thought this was an awesome piece of work and entertaining at that ^^

Well personally I find that Matrix Reloaded didn't live up to the expectations, and Matrix 1. All the stunts and action scenes were par excellance, but there was "something" missing. The thing that made the Matrix the Matrix. If you know what I mean

Anyho' I really enjoyed the Animatrix, mainly because I buyed the game for GameCube, played it thru on a weekend and then suddenly on monday night there was the whole Animatrix airing - woohoo! And the best of all we had our cinema tickets for Reloaded the day after, so is was the perfect timeline

And the fact that we watched it in english (Austria here) in the cinema added much more style and enjoyance (is there even such a word??) to it.

OK back to the Animatrix, I really liked the episode with the kid, that kinda rescued himself, and the detective story together with the Second Renessaince which really had much flavour.

I LOVE IT!! All Except the ones done by the guy who did aeon Flux. Oh and the HUMANS DESERVED WHAT THEY GOT!!

Boy, is the big twist in the third one really gonna piss you off you what. Yeah, Im not sure or anything, but I think I figured out whats going on, atleast the idea ive got makes sense of everything and fills in all those annoying plot holes. The big clues are in the animatrix eps, specifically the The Second Renasance Part 1 and 2. Heres the tip off, why is it divded into 2 parts? why are they divided unevenly? and why does the first part make a lot of sense and seems interesting while second part seems very contrived and doesnt really make a lot of sense? Why is the narator of a file stored in the Zion archives seem so simpathetic towards the robots? Oh...and werent those nukes going off at the very begining of the second part in 01...dont those release EMP waves? OK so thats a lot of hints, but I dont want to come right out and say it cause I might ruin it for everyone if im right.
