Who is the worst character in all of anime? ***SPOILERS***

Ed: Cowboy Bebop- The retard of retards in anime. Ed was the utterly pointless waste of ink and cells in what is one of the best animes out there. I remember upon first seeing Ed, I thought it was cute but then another 2 minutes later I found myself wishing Spike, Faye, Jet, HELL even myself, would just lead Ed into the air lock and watch it die! Ed was just so pointless to the show, but thank God she left before the last episode, cause she would've ruined it. Still its a shame that Ed just didn't like blow or up or something...

Tidus: Final Fantasy X- Nobody likes this guy, what can I say. He was just a total pussy compared to the true star of the show Auran. Besides that, most of his lines sucked, and he was a jock to cap it off. I was glad Tidus left in the end of the game. He was by far the wussiest hero to ever be in a Final Fantasy game.

Great call on Tidus. What a panty. As for Ed, that made me laugh. I agree she was pretty useless, though I think she would have been more likeable if she were a recurring guest instead of a member of the crew. However, your post reminded me of the all-time pointless character, EVER, in ANY series. Any of you who've watched Macross 7 know I'm talking about Veffidas. Supposedly a Zentraedi drummer, this cardboard cutout is essentially two hands stapled to a pair of drumsticks. I think she says maybe 4 words MAX during the entire run of the show (51 or so episodes).

Are you guys nuts? Ed was the ONLY reason to watch CBB up until episode 24! SWEET BEAN ROLL! SWEET BEAN ROLL, PEOPLE!

On top of that, Ed has "leet haxxor skills," and that carries a lot of "authoritah" among the people that I hang out with.

Ed is one of my fav characters from Bebop though I liked them all very much.

It was Ed's quirkiness and crazy insane antics that were the reason I liked Ed. I was always watching waiting to see what crazy thing Ed would do next. And I thought Mushroom Samba was an excellent episode, especially when everyone was tripping. Faye swimming with the fish is a classic. I was a little sad to see her leave.

Do you ever say anything new or do you always recycle the same insulting comments about Evangelion to people? Have you ever noticed how almost no one ever replies to you on these (although I just did)? That might imply that people are getting sick of it and aren't really listening to you.

In all seriousness, the best way to have people "listen" to you or at least take you seriously is to NOT insult them. BTW I am trying to give you real advice here, but I'm sure you'll get angry and disregard it.

Except if he did things differently the show's entire meaning and purpose would've been lost. Then it would've been just about evil monsters invading and some reluctant boy piloting a mecha which is like *every* derivative "reluctant hero/boy meets mecha" show.

Then again, I do understand the whole "annoying" part, but again..I think his character type is essential to the story...hell the show is ABOUT him .
