Does ANYONE watch Gravitation or Weiss Kreuz anymore??

On the internet, yeah. It's the exact opposite for me in person. At my local anime club, all the other girls are into yaoi/shounen-ai, and when I simply state that I'm not (and I'm not nasty about it, I just say it's "not my thing, I'm not into it"), they make a point of either covertly excusing themselves, giving me dirty looks like I'm a traitor or something, or my personal favorite, say not to worry, they'll convert me soon enough. It's that kind of BS that's made me stop talking to other female anime fans in general. Except for a VERY select few.

The thing that bothers me about shonen-ai is the mushy aspect. Not that I'm keen on the "gay sex" aspect, but guys acting all dramatically angsty just annoy me.

Well, all I can say is I hope you just ran into a nasty bunch. I have a lot of friends (girls *and* guys) who are open to me that they are disturbed by the very thought of yaoi, and I respect that. I actually feel the very same way about yuri (which a few of them do like), so it works out fine. I don't shove my tastes in their faces, and they do the same for me. ^_^;; Just don't take those girls to stand as examples of *all* shonen ai fans. We have our bad apples, just like any group - and none of the shonen ai fans I generally associate are like that. I don't care for closeminded people, whether they share the same interests as me or not.

Heh, I'd agree with you there for the most part. But then, I've found the same distaste in non-yaoi anime titles where the main guys are wimpy overly-dramatic saps. I just either ignore the worst parts in favor of other characters, or avoid the anime altogether. ^_^;

Exactly. I respect your opinion, even though I don't share it. And the couple of other online friends I've got happen to be shounen-ai fans as well. But the difference between them and the idiots at the anime club is that they don't treat me like I'm a freak of evolution. In fact, one of them did get me to warm up to a little of it, and I don't mind.
