Actually, I think all of the Bebop eps were supposed to be titled after song names....

no, i don't thin they're all named after song titles, but they all have some thing to do with musicin one way or another.

yeah, there's a whole deal with music in it(episode titles are like bohemian rhapsody, the real folk blues, sympathy for the devil, the movie shared a name with the led zepplin song)

i loved cowboy bebop. give a character a hard knock life, yet still remains happy go lucky and you have spike. he looks mad cool in a fight and funny at the same time. think bruce lee is his idol?

knocking on heaven's door was a great movie. worth checking out. action flick with a theme thats not hard to comprehend=great OAV to finish off a great series.

ok first of all, it's a Bob dylan song. ANd yes bruce lee is Spikes idol, it says so right on the back of volume one. spike is a practitioner of jeet kun-do (the art bruce lee invented) and an avid follower of bruce lees philosophy. thats straight from the back of the dvd ... more or less.

and it was a movie not an ova ... if there was a second part to the movie then it would be an ova.

I loved the Bebop movie! So far it's the only thing I've seen (besides reading the manga)...I'm waiting to buy the box set. But anyways, I have one question: WHAT IS DEAL WITH BUTTERFLIES!!!!!!!!!!!

I made a thread about that a while ago, but EarthCurrent and Kthultu were too busy mocking me to answer....Any thoughts peoples? Are they just supposed to represent something mystical or what???

i ahve no idea ... i remember the thread ... somone gave a pretty plauseable answer about it symbolizing the characters remembering vital parts of their pasts.

Physiological answer:
Scientist: "When the nanomachines reach the brain, they enter as lights- lights that appear as..."
Vincent: "The most beautiful butterflies imaginable."

Symbolic answer:
Vincent: "I know these butterflies cannot exist in this world. But I have lost all memory of the world to which they belong."

Vincent finds beauty in these butterflies. He wants to return to the world in which these butterflies exist, that is, the happy life he had with Elektra before he was sent to the war, though he has no memory of this past life. He instead perceives the world of butterflies as a spiritual world, and believes the only way to reach this world is to send the real world into either heaven or purgatory.

Well, that's what I got out of it.
Good movie. Jet deserved a bigger part though.

Hmm...yes...perhaps they mean spirituality etc etc...though i think the memory idea does have something to do with it.

I was asking in general, since butterflies appear in many anime's.....

I think the Cowboy Bebop movie kicked so much ass.

Ed is soo awesome, and the jeet-kun-do(sp) fight were beautiful. And it would have been nice if Jet had a bigger part.

OOO I think the best fight was with Spike and Elektra when they basically first met. The one with the mop!!
