The girl is Nuku from All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku... 8)
Anywho, Serial Experiments Lain plucked at my heart strings when I first saw it. And Cowboy Bebop just makes me feel... I don't know. Trigun had it's sad points at areas. Grave of the Fireflies though is perhaps one of the most saddest animes out there right now. The only other anime that made me feel as sad as that one was Scrapped Princess and the Love Hina Christmas Special.

I guess I should say something witty here right...? Too bad...

I felt sad at the end of Hand Maid May...mainly because I was just so sad the series was over...
Escaflowne to a degree...
Gundam 08th the MS team
Gundam 0080 War in a Pocket especially
Arc the Lad would've made me sad to, if they hadn't of changed it from the origional ending that is.

anime with the strongest emotional reactions ? easy, its Neon Genesis Evangeln (including End of Eva). i mean, it doesnt make you cry or anything (well, the "congratulations" sscene in the end of final genesis did bring a few tears to my eyes, and the asuka finding her mum in EoE made me shed a few tears as well) , instead it screws with your mind, makes you freak out, go crazy and gives you a fucking heart attack. serioly, its the most emotional thing to ever appear on a screen. (note that nge is less of an anime to me, and more of a religion. its completely changes and formed who i am. i could go on forever about its emotional aspects but its 150am and ive got school tomorow)

Heh, I cry in everything ;_;
Though I'd have to say, Magic Knight Rayearth, Magic Knight Rayearth 2 and probably Fushigi Yuugi Eikoden....I'm such a sap.....
Heh though the second Cardcaptor Sakura Movie made me both laugh and cry...(cried first then came to a rather amused conclusion:)

Heh, the end of Berserk does the same thing, only its more frightening and it WILL make you cry.bum wrote:anime with the strongest emotional reactions ? easy, its Neon Genesis Evangeln (including End of Eva). i mean, it doesnt make you cry or anything (well, the "congratulations" sscene in the end of final genesis did bring a few tears to my eyes, and the asuka finding her mum in EoE made me shed a few tears as well) , instead it screws with your mind, makes you freak out, go crazy and gives you a fucking heart attack. serioly, its the most emotional thing to ever appear on a screen. Anyways, for Trigun, it was really this that did it for me:

But there were other moments that had me both laughing and almost crying too, it covers the emotional spectrum quite well.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

Come to think of it, I guess I cried only cuz Sailormoon was my first emotional anime...(not a lot of cartoon shows make ppl cry) PLUS it was the first anime I ever watched.Spoiler wrote:That part where Darien saves Serena by risking his life when the dark queen throws a...a...sharp medal crystal thing? Plus all the eposides surrounding it.

That was the second emotional scene I ever watched in anime. I just kept staring at the screen thinking "No... no...." as I began to break down.SSJVegita0609 wrote:Anyways, for Trigun, it was really this that did it for me:

The FIRST emotional scene I ever watched in anime came from the same anime. Trigun, Episode 12. Diablo.
Spoiler wrote:Seeing Vash become a would-be murderer scared the hell out of me, his glowing eyes piercing darkness as he lifted his gun to take the life of a man who had just desecrated a neighborhood of innocents. I don't think I've ever watched anything as nerve-shifting. And to see him suddenly become baffled and confused by the conflicting emotions of peace and hatred inside of him at the end. All he can do is sit there. And weep for the lost souls, which almost included his.
