The movie has gone to hell.

I predict that Garfield, a horrific mistake, might be better than this Eva movie. 'Tis sad, for Eva <s>was</s> is a great series...

The concept drawings for "Kate Rose"

and "Ray"

are horrificly gruesome and unworthy of setting eyes upon. (I haven't seen Misato's though) but I know that they don't have actors yet, some of the characters looked different in The Lord of the Rings before they casted, this concept art for the characters probably serves no purpose.

i dont like the fact that they changed thier names (never seen the series but still...). Though one good thing is Weta is doin gthe digital work and i'm a big fan of thiers since thier stuff in LOTR was phenominal!!

That was horrible. I really hope they change their minds about that down the road. Also, did you notice that they weren't KIDS? It looks like people's fears about 20-something year olds playing Shinji, Rei, and Asuka might be founded after all. Well, on the plus side, it's still in the early stages, right? Things will change...things had BETTER change....

I like the design for 'Rei' she looks as if she might actually look (shock) Asian. I'd like to see the front picture however.

'Asuka' looks a little old, but that could just be the artist, put an actor in that suit and it might look okay.

The Eva's are well done, notice the Orange pre-production pre-standardization Eva-00 has the shoulder blades mounted already? In the series Eva-00 didn't have them untill it was standardized.

Ehhh....I HATE how they changed the names! WHY?!

Okay, I won't complain 'cause everyone else is. ^^; If the effects are done by the same people who did LOTRs, then I can expect greatness. However I just hope the stroy and characters aren't altered TOO much.

BTW, Rei probably has black hair because its more 'normal'. I guess they're trying to make this movie more real-ish and less anime-ish, damn them...

'Not Animeish Hair'

Riiight... NEWS FLASH. You can't dye someone's hair to cotton candy blue or neon pink without it looking dyed. Why? Because those colors don't come naturally to humans unless they have a severe and frightning medical condition.

If Ayanami is to have an Asian actress, dyeing her hair a LIGHT color would also be a problem, unless they bleach it and then dye it, course she'll probabbly look like a crayon after that. The other option is a wig... Ugh.

It's live action, with real people. These real people should look like human beings and not fleshy charactechers
