OK now, what made your first anime memorable? :)

My first anime was Totoro when I was really little...then in third grade I had my Sailor Moon obsession. But the anime that led to my infatuation was Rurouni Kenshin. :D

? are you a girl or guy? (I've been assuming you were a girl, sorry!) But if you're a girl, that's cool too. Just curious.
I remember DB 'cause it was the hardest animated violence I had seen until that time: Goku kame'd the ground to propel himself up to punch a hole into Piccolo.

anyways .. .this is going to take some thinking ...
hmmm first thing i've seen was problaby Dragon Balls or Samurai Pizza cats ... but i didn't really know or care that it was anime.

Then sometime last year i found Blood: The last Vampire on Kazaa and i thought that was pretty cool. But i still didn't know it was anime.

Then about a month later i was combing Kazaa for MSI videos when i stumbled uppon this. That just set off everything and in a way rekindled my interest in anime ... so what did i do? i downloaded FLCL and got the shit confused out of me ... but i still liked it.

now i'm a hopless anime junkie and a college student ... a really bad combination. No money + anime addiction = even less money.

I thought FLCL was pretty confusing too. I don't quite get it, but with loads of ual connotations, references to other interesting entertainments(Rage Against the Machine, South Park, and Lupin, just to name a few good ones) and a morphing robot from space, what's not to love? :)

FLCL wasen't half as consusing as pro made it out to be. In a way I was a little dissapointed in that respect, cause I was expecting much more weirdness.
