Wizard's anime magazine actually had a hypothetical battle between Eva 01 and Wing Gundam. In a complete BS call, Wing Gundam blew away Eva 01 with the laser rifle. (Hey, it was published and I will say I no longer subscribe to that magazine.)
The problem with taking on an Eva is the AT field. Yeah, I guess an Arbalast from FMP with the Lambda drive could have a chance.
Of more obscurity there are mecha from Orgus 02 that could probably just step on an Eva. [squish] Plus they can vaporize an Eva by using time displacement.
Could a boomer merge with an Eva?
Unicron from Transformers would just eat the planet. Eva may give him indigestion.

eva's can prety much die then wake up and go crazy ripping and eating the hell out of anything, so i dont see how anything could have much of a chance against them
(oh and, is it just me or do the eva's seem alor closer to 50 meters than 100 ? . theirs a huge 100meter monster in argentosma and well, you get alot more of a feel that it is actualy 100 meters tall than you do with eva)

Depends how large the buildings in Tokio 3 are. Most of the buildings are larger than the EVAs. I'd say they're closer to 50 meters than 100.
Think of the potential of an EVA created in the world of Gundam. It'd be fucking invincible. I'm thinking Gundams armor plating, weapons and engines combined with the EVA's superior piloting system, AT field and constitution.
I wish I coould draw mecha, then I'd allready have designed one ages ago.

Mechs should not be the main focus of the story. The coolest mechs are the ones that look like military hardware Fmp being an excellent example. Of course if you want the most realistic mechs and ideas behind them you have to go over to mechwarrior. Also the super robots like Mazinger z are technically mechs and they could kick any of the other mechs ass so far mentioned in this thread.Excalibur00 wrote:well granted that EVA doesnt look that impressive than being huge, but give them some credit. MEchas are suppose to be humanoid looking things with machinary inside them. EVAs are like that. But they are design to be something else in the series. TThe other mechs in Gundam or Full Metal Panic are just weapons used to fight battles. But like Escaflowne, that kind of mech is essential to the story, because it effects the plot. Most Mech fans just think of Mechs as cool weapons of war, and think on the cosmetics of them instead of the technical stuff involved in making them. Evangelions are no different that Mobile Suits, Gundams, Arm Slaves, Orbital Frames, or Guymelefs.

I believe they made the main character of FMP to make fun of Heero.
But i like the mechs in the game Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner.
there is just somethign about Gundams and Mobile Suits that i never liked...but I dont knw what it is/. I think FMP and ZOE mechs r much cooler. Then there is also anothe rmecha game called Armored Core.

Steel Battalion (sp?) for the Xbox is awesome, since it's required to have that ginormous controller and pedals, it makes it that much more intense and as far was graphics go, wow
that and Zone of the Enders games are probably my fav mech games
they're main operations are under control of a pilot, the eva is actually sleeping/unconscience and it really doesn't run on a battery, it's just what they say to make people make sense of it, but rather, the control system that allows us to use eva's body runs on a battery, when the power runs out, we run out of control and the eva sleeps again
the whole waking up part/berserker is really the eva actually awake and moving around under it's own power, not a battery since it's not mech, it's biological. if you woke up covered in restraints with some little whiny kid inside a tube in ur back... i don't think u'd be in a good mood either

it's because you've got the system a bit screwed up, evas don't die and then resurrect to keep fightingbum wrote:eva's can prety much die then wake up and go crazy ripping and eating the hell out of anything, so i dont see how anything could have much of a chance against them
