Um, DB isn't that bad. It's actually quite good in a few places. It's just way overdone and too long. It would have been better if the plot didn't move so slow. You could miss 12 episodes in a row and pick up right where you left off!someperson wrote:let's hope not.thecursedone wrote:Dragonball will live on forever in one form or another!!!
You're lucky... I've decided to let you live to see the day when I will rule the world.

hope is all you have left. but sadly, it will all be for not! FOR NOT!!
seriously, most people complain about how long the dragonball series are, but they only shout 'OH GAWD!' because other people do it, it's not as bad as people make it out to be, and guess what
[/pro-dbz rant to a lot of people who can SOMETIMES be closed-minded but often do use logic and to tell you the truth, i've had my own fill of DB so i'm actually AGAINST it's continuation, so i should stop argueing FOR dbz, this isn't the right topic...]
BTW, Pokemon AND Digimon is very likey WAYYYY longer then DB is, in fact, they're still making them, but you hardly hear people complain about THOSE shows do you?

that's wrong even, OMG GOKU FIGHTS FRIEZA AND KILLS HIM... well he didn't, Frieza chopped HIMSELF in two and then he had the audacity to keep fighting, so Goku just killed him off even though he was ALREADY GONNA DIE!!... and goku didn't even die and come back in the Frieza arc, only in the Saiyan and Buu onesgenestarwind21122 wrote:OMG Down with Dragon ball. It is the same old crap over and over and over again. The hero dies comes back to life, saves the planet. The hero dies again comes back to life and saves the planet again. And when they do finally die the next character basically does the same thing. It gets old after a while.

I don't complain about them because I don't watch them. If I liked them enough to complain about it's flaws, I would have related them to DBZ. I've only seen the very first arc of Digimon, and most of the first Pokemon thing. (And yes, I am ashamed) I complain that DBZ is too long because the length drags out the plot and pulls back an otherwise good series. Pokemon sucked from the start, so the length is just another flaw for an otherwise crappy anime.Daio Kaji wrote:BTW, Pokemon AND Digimon is very likey WAYYYY longer then DB is, in fact, they're still making them, but you hardly hear people complain about THOSE shows do you?

Cloud Clone... i thank you for your explanation
i'm about at the same level with those other shows, just a little further, i saw the first 2 1/2 arcs of both digimon AND pokemon... after that... i just couldn't keep up with those little crying kids and the way that pokemon can get away with CONSTANTLY finding new pokemon for the fact that pokemon are just like animals, so there's no reason that they would be forced to stop... so they don't
but i'm not opposed to having a movie made.. especially if it's by a fan of the show... just a whole new series is something i wouldn't be able to force myself to enjoy fully

Dude, that is so true! I waited for like ten episodes for Goku to show up so that he could fight Vegeta on Namek. And Vegeta was just sitting there doing nothing. It was so annoying.Daio Kaji wrote:hope is all you have left. but sadly, it will all be for not! FOR NOT!!

Perhaps you don't read Daizex.com often, but since it's a huge DBZ website, I thought I'd post a little bit of information from it about this topic. I asked this question before and here's the answer I got.
Conversation ended. From Daizex.com wrote:DBGT ended in November of 1997. Since then, there has been NO interest expressed by either Toei Animation or Akira Toriyama in continuing the series. In drawing the new images for the kanzenban releases in Japan, Toriyama even mentioned that simply drawing the images brought up happy thoughts of the old days...but also the continuing feelings of not wanting to have anything else to do with DragonBall.
