What do I have to prove? It's fact. Anything you want to know regarding PAL and blended fields could be found in the doom9.org forums. If you want to *disprove* me, then you need to offer statements to backup your case.

When you mentioned the shitty video blends, are you talking about PAL in general or when you attempt to execute PAL on an NTSC standard system?

I'm referring to native NTCS material, that has been converted to PAL. Native PAL material is just fine. Anime is NTSC though, of course.

Um, except a large ammount of the People at doom9 are from Europe, and thus use PAL
If you think you got something I've not seen before, then go ahead and try to show me how great it looks. Although it will have to wait for another time, I think I'm gunna be away for a while.

Just to add to this discussion. Australia is not "Anime poor"! This is a very widespread misconception. Anime releases in Australia are rarely any more than 6 months behind the US and in most cases it's a lot less.

If you're really uptight about the wait get your DVDs from America. With hardware prices as low as they are up there you might want to also import a DVD burner, there's your region problem solved... I think.

PAL doesn't suck as much as many people think (see the thread in General Video) but yes NTSC DVDs (anime) are better. Only because of the conversion process. PAL bashers... I'm only going to attack your intelligence rather than go at a perfectly accepable format, I'm just not that stupid.

Order DVDs off of the Madman site if you have to, drop by a convention and pick up some great deal in the dealers room (AVCon is little over two months away) sounds like a plan to me.
