what does youre parents or friends think of watching anime?

My mom doesn't care, infact she will help us buy some manga and crap, which is way cool! She's just like you guys and your anime! haha and she can never say InuYasha right; she always says InuYashie! lol cracks me up every time!

My dad is like the big kid/joker of the family so he just comes in the room and imitates the japanese language just to be a funny.

And my older sister thinks it's dumb, but I got my little sister into it so we share the intrest which is awesome. ^_^

I think my parent believe I am being anti social because I watch anime.

And a lot of my friends watch anime so they are cool the others could care less.

my parents are pretty much clueless or just don't really care they are along the lines or "eh whatever" ...they don'treally understand the concept of anime and just refer to it has "cartoon"

my friends..some like it...some love it...and some just don't get it they are with my parents..."cartoons"

i'm kinda happy thought cuz some of my friends i introduced anime too..or i think..that or they liked but never really said anything and now i ahve more ppl that i can discuss it with ...

well, they kinda bought it for me in the first place and was in their name, so I couldnt stop them or it would have been stealing..../me misses my 89 Torus wagon...even with its transmission problems

My mom has gotten a bad picture of anime because she comes in at times that are really bad.

My dad loves anime and watches the same stuff I do so my mom can't complain to him.

Many of my friends also like anime but their are, again, some who don't because they saw all the wrong stuff.

Well my parants dislike anime and even forbid me to watch it but wath can they do about it, I have my own PC with a DVD-player installed in it so I can watch what I want bad luck for them.
Also all my friends hate anime and find it really stupid, but that's because Belgium isn't suchs a animeminded country I think.

Just to rub salt into the wound, my parents really don't mind if I watch anime, my dad has watched a few movies with me before. My mum just helped me set up an Ebay account so I can rid myself of my DBZ DVDs :¬ P

My mom does't like me watching anime, but she won't do anything about it, because it's not hurting anything. She has this horrible problem of walking in during the most inopprotune moments. The first time I watched Mononoke Hime, she came in as a guy gets his head lopped off. During Evangelion, she came in when I was watching the scene where Shinji falls on Rei with his hand on her breast. Of course, she only saw the part with his hand on her breast, and not what lead up to the fact. I thought I was the only one home one time, so I popped in Twilight of the Dark Master. eek...

My dad's okay with some anime. He watched all of Trigun, and liked it. He'll watch the stuff on Cartoon Network late at night, but that's as advanced as he gets.

Oh god, I was wondering when someone would address this! My parents HATE anime! But the great thing is I find ways to trick them into buying dvd's for me..... long story.... But it still sucks because they find it childish and they have never even seen snime in their lives! or if they have its like a kiddy cartoon. One problem about showing them anime though is that my dad is a rev. and so they can be strict when it comes to cursing or sex... and violence sometimes. Its practically impossible to find anything I could get them to watch without them banning it from me forever!
