i dont get FLCL at all

I got that it had to do with growing up and whatnot, but it's nothing worth worrying yourself over. I just thought it was something to laugh at...or in some cases, be extremely alarmed about. That "Sometimes you're the cat, sometimes you're the mouse" episode was just...I don't even wanna think about that....

FLCL is a parody more than anything.

It makes fun of a lot of different older animes, and the jokes don't make as much sense if you haven't seen them or heard of them.

That's the big thing about it. Most people haven't seen the older stuff, so they don't get FLCL and they don't like it. Meh, that's my view anyways... I bet if you see it all from start to finish in one sitting, you'd get most of it, rather than one ep a week for six weeks...

i wish i could sit down and watch it all day but then my mom would wanna know what the hell im watching. and i dont really get the alien popping out of the head thing, are they making fun of something when they do that, cuz i know when i was watching Excel saga yesterday i saw that eps when excel hits the enemy in there pressuer point things popped put of there heads and they turned into "PUNI"

........ dont get that though.

FLCL. personaly after eppisode 3 i was bored fuckless. then again, japanese comedy does that to me. but i do understand its appeal and in a way i agree that it is prety awsome. also, the whole growing up theme in it does make sence and if ya watch it with that in mind it'l probaly make much more sence

I agree with you but i dont know if it would make since or not, but i wouldn't really know cuz i've only seen an eps keep that in mind "one eps".
And im not being a smart ass either.

Watch it twice to catch everything.

Watch it three times to understand it.

Trust me, it works for most people. After three times watching it, I finally understood (roughly) what the hell was going on.

flcl has been my fav anime since like late 2001... its sooo good

hilarious, original, good animation aw man, there need 2b more like it

to me the underlying concepts make sense, but some of the things they do are so very random, i was laughing so hard when they had that short segment with them as south park characters but i didn't kno WHAT was going on

yeh, my second music vid is FLCL

(back when i didn't kno how to do nething about subtitles, arg, i'm going to fix that one someday)

FLCL is okay. But I don't quite get it either.
