Sosuke of "Full Metal Panic!" is 16 at the beginning of the series.

...and FMP is a NGE-parody in some passages, so I guess it´s a start.

I've already seen RahXephon - as you might have been able to see from my name...

As for what I said about high school earlier, well, it said that (or something like that) in the Marmalade Boy manga, when explaining why the two female main characters were a certain age compared to American high school students. I guess I didn't remember what it said correctly.

Hmm I think Setsuna from angel sanctuary is around 16 years old because his sempai is only 18.

Now that I think about it... I know of a lot of anime that has 15 year old main characters...but no 16 year olds.
