Uhh anyway, I'm not the only one who said Miyazawa and Arima-kun, am I? Come on people, just because they aren't dysfunctional doesn't mean they aren't a good couple!

Because they know each other better than the alternative - Mukuro. She only knows about Hiei because she read his mind after nearly getting him killed. Kurama knows the exact same thing without having to intrude, because they're close enough for Hiei to confide in him. 2-3. Sanosuke/Kenshin/Kaoru (RK)
-Not really a couple, but I'll explain.
I don't mind the Kenshin/Kaoru pairing, but it's incomplete. Kenshin is the 'strong' partner - always. Kaoru does not comfort him, doesn't shelter him, doesn't partner him, and doesn't ever allow him to be the 'weak' one - she doesn't even *think* that he might need the same support he naturally gives her. Sanosuke acts as that strong partner. If I had to choose between Sano and Kaoru - giving Kenshin support, or making him the eternal supporter, I'd choose Sano. But I really like Kaoru, and I think Kenshin and she make a very pretty and sweet couple. So I'd prefer a threesome, or just a sidenote of Sano/Kenshin to go with the Kenshin/Kaoru. That way my favorite character, Kenshin, gets his 'weak but sweet' partner, and his 'protective and possessive' partner. Best of both worlds. ^.^

4. Trowa/Quatre (GW)
Why?
Watch the anime, they're so sappy it's very hard to understand the people who think Trowa/Catherine or Quatre/Dorothy are better couples (especially considering Cathy is Trowa's sister). I can't imagine preferring incest over shonen ai. But ignoring those fans, the two just hit you over the head with their sappiness, yet they remain an interesting couple. You have your sweet and sensitive but psychotically dangerous cutie, Quatre, and your silent and monotone but 'feels his pain' Trowa. There's the typical weak sweety needs a strong partner thread, but also the psycho cutie taking his pain out on his unsuspecting but forgiving partner - giving a nice mix of angst to go with the otherwise overwhelming sap. I prefer angst myself, but a nice mix like that...can't resist it. ^_^;

5. Kuwabara/Yukina (YYH)
Why?
Because it's just so darn funny and cute. I really didn't want to like Kuwa, but he sort of grows on you. And the way he does a complete turn around into a puddle of mush when he's near Yukina, it just makes him endearing. There's also the fact that I'm not much of a yuri fan, and if not for Kuwa, she'd be back on the ice mountain reproducing with the other females. I think she's too sweet and caring to be isolated like that. And let's face it...no one else would have Kuwabara. Add in how much Kuwabara's infatuation with Yukina irks Hiei and it's one of my favorite pairings, easy.

this chick agrees with everything you have said...espesially since Kurama and Hiei are really a couple...because Yoshi-sama made a seperate anime all to themselves about their relationship^-^

1. Excel and Hail Illpalazooooo <----- if you can't drop the one you love down a deep pit filled with sharks, who can you!
2 keitaro and naru <----- nothing says love like kicking your special some one into lunar orbit
3 aketo and yurika <----- i love how no matter how much he says he hates her can calls her a moron he still loves her
4 ranma and kuno <----- nothing is more dysfunctional then them
5 mokoto and ifurita <---- OK there not dysfunction but o well i need to finish out my top 5

I personally love the character. It's refreshing that there are others here who share the sentiment rather than those who would dissolve into diatribes of mindless character bashing.
