Yeah, I understand, I saw that with some YYH DVD's as well. The shows are as seen on CN, meaning that the DVD's have cut scenes and removed swearing, but the dubbing is still done by other companies.
That's what i mean. I don't wanna buy something that has swearing and scenes removed. If the translation is obscene, let it be. The last thing I want is to spend $20 - $30 on something that has been censored. :x

The subtitles are usually much more accurate than the dubs, because they don't have to fit the translation to the movement of peoples' mouths. I have a coupleof friends who speak Japanese and they have confirmed this. Of course, I don't know specifically about the subs on FMA, because I have only seen it on TV. I don't think you will be disapointed if you buy the series, though. I really started liking FMA because I was pleasantly surprised about how dark it can be. I'm not just talking about blood and stuff either. Some of the things that happen are downright depressing.
