It's not so much that it's an ongoing story as that I would kind of expect some sort of resolution to occur every episode, even if new complications are introduced.Garylisk wrote:You say that like it's a bad thing... Oh no, an ongoing story! What ever shall we do! Everything should be able to be solved in 2 or 3 episodes tops! Yeah right. I live for huge stories. If you like Episodic anime, more power to ya, but I'd rather have things be continuous.

I don't have a problem with long running shows. It's just that it would be nice to either introduce something new so that we see the characters developing, or some resolution to an open story line. At this point, the last 6 eps have been essentially the same thing. That's just sloppy storytelling when it could have easily been cut down to make room for some more interesting stuff. Take a look at say, Full Metal Alchemist: the show certainly had an overall story arc, yet at least every other episode there was some sort of progress, or resolution that helped us to appreciate the characters and the story a bit more. In the case of Bleach, the people that liked the darker concepts shown earlier on in the show get to watch people running around a city for 5 episodes with no 'real' developement other than that there should be a big battle sometime in the future.Garylisk wrote:You say that like it's a bad thing... Re: Bleach
I thought it was awesome, Ayashi No Ceres awesome... until episode 12. EP 12 was SOOOOOOOOO Horrible I couldn't beleive! Anyway I DIDN'T beleive ;p and the subsequent eps (seen up to 25, d/ling up to 30 now as a matter of fact!) are ok, if not rather on the road to King Kai-like... my expectations have fallen to Yu Yu Hakusho levels on this one, not 3x3 eyes!! So, not bad, if wasn't for the ROD TV/ E's otherwise-like downfall than I'd name it off as a favorite. I still like RODTV and E's, Yu Yu Hakusho though, and I still like this. The massive boobage gets on my nerves though.whatismyname51 wrote:Anyone out there watching this?
It just keeps getting better and better, in my opinion

was thinking 'new intro?? I saw a new ending but not a new intro'... but than I've not gotten to 26 yet... thx bud -_-Sorry, ep 25 has the old intro, I meant ep 26...
The new ed gets on my nerves, LOVED the old singer's english accent *googly eyes*. BUT since the love interest changed 100% at that point the words just make ALOT more sense. I mean, no use singing about friendship... I love that about this series, the attention to detail! I mean that sets a whole new (and interesting imo) aspect!

acturally the story, from my perspective is more in the new ED. But I'm a hopeless romantic ;p.Garylisk wrote:Kusoyaro wrote:I'm up to episode 28 now. I like it, but I'm a little disappointed in the story. I was hoping it'd be more than

But I like the characters, and some of them haven't seen much action yet, so I'm really looking forward to watching them kick ass.The story is not the deepest thing ever, but the characters are what keeps you watching. All the characters are just unbelievably cool!spoiler wrote:

Studio Pierrot I knew it sounded/ felt like a more masculine Ayashi No Ceres for a reason. A second take on E's Otherwise. They'll get it right some day.lapdance_for003 wrote:lol every new ep get funnier and funnier! the only thing i can complain about is i don't realy like the art that much... but either than that its a mad anime!

That's alot of post dude, but I do that stuff on my own forums too so I shouldn't be talking.Knowname wrote:BTW Lavender is the GREATEST color ever, you just can't see it!!
My friends and I nickname this anime: Bleach "A better version of Yu-yu-hakusho with stories similar to Full Metal Alchemist."
My friends who read the manga say "don't worry, the story gets better" so we'll just have to wait and see "on episode 14 BTW"
