Making an amv, is rather like being the director of a Broadway show, where you have a million dancers and each of them only knows one step.

I haven't read the thread but I'd like to answer your question and say I think it has died. You don't hear much of it anymore. Even if it was on, I think I've moved away from it. I love the second and fourth seasons but I just lost interest in it.imphill wrote:Is it just me or has the digimon craze died, like the digimon themselves should of done?

When I was in middle school it was like war. You either liked Pokemon or Digimon and the Pokemon fans would go on how Digimon was just a clone of Pokemon. No, it never did get much publicity did it?older_gohan wrote:I haven't heard much concerning it myself. I'm hoping it's dead. It had it's run but didn't live up to the publicity Yu-gi-oh and pokemon saw.

Mrow, I wuvs Digimon. If not only for the character development, then for the Digimon that aren't annoying (oh, but there are PLENTY of annoying ones. *stabs that weird ElvisMonkeymon).
Anyway, I wonder why the hell they decided to wait 'til NOW to dub the movie?! They should've made sure to get everything back when Digimon was at its peak, no?
And I think the dub is okay. In the beginning, the voices weren't so hot, and you could tell that they were reading from the stript. But then as the seasons went on, the voices got bettar! Right guys? 'Specially Ken's voice. *drool* Heh, Season 2 be my fav. ^.^;

I'd rather this didn't become a thread of "I think Digimon is better than having my teeth drilled" vs "Digimon should never have been born, and if you like them you'll rot in the fires of hell." I'm just tired of it. Digimon is my all-time favorite show, and I've seen a lot. If you don't like it, then you saw the wrong season/ the wrong episodes, and I pity you. Did Digimon die? The last season ended in America last year, so as far as that, yeah, it's dead and you don't have to worry about it anymore. I'm happy they're finally dubbing the movies - I thought I'd never see the day. Digimon is not Pokemon, but I think people either believed it was, or were unimpressed with the first season and missed out and that's why it hasn't reached the same popularity. I believe the digimon toys were out in america at least before the pokemon tv show. I like watching Pokemon, but it's nowhere near as fun, as clever, or as intense as Digimon was. The dub improved steadily as it went on, with VA's like Steve Blum, Mona Marshall, Crispin Freeman, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, Dave Wittenberg, Bridget Hoffman, and Derek Stephen Prince. The show deals with things like adoption, divorce, death, grief, loss, sacrifice, revenge, suicide, and forgiveness. and that's just off the top of my head. I cried at the end of Season 01 and actually couldn't sleep for a few days because I was worried about them. Has that ever happened to you? The characters just seemed so real and genuine to me. I still get misty watching it. The Season 4 conclusion was so memorable and wrapped things up beautifully.
