Are you bothered when you hear recycled voices in ADV anime?

Sorry you thought I was being hostile. I am really a very non hostile person. I was only trying to encourage the people here to meet the voice actors and learn a little about how it is done. The translation, scripting, directing, and mostly the difficulty fitting dubbed script to movenents built aroune a japanese dialouge. These are for the most part very interesting and fun people to get to know. I was at a very small con in Marshall MN and we really got to know some of them. Monica, Greg, Travis, Carrie, and several others, they were great people, lots of fun. They also gave us a lot of insight into the workings of voice acting, there aren't a lot of people who can do the work they do. I don't mind hearing the same voices in different animes any more than seeing the same actors in different roles. There just aren't a lot of good ones to go around.EvaXephon wrote:Please don't ne so hostile! I do respect their effort and talent! Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

They're jumping on you because your original post was incredibly negative.
And I'm in the camp that thinks the question is rather silly. If they're good actors, I don't care. I may joke now and then (I saw the opening of Makai Kingdom today and couldn't stop snickering over hearing The Great But Obligatory Crispin Freeman once again) - but really. I've seen film actors in more than one movie, and I don't get all huffy about it and say that it detracts from that experience. So, no. And as staces said, too, the seiyuu tend to be like that too. ooh, Koyasu Takehito agai~n!!
Though variety is always good, I'll take six good performances from one actor over six bad performances by different actors. In any language.
