Inuyasha Series May Not Be Over!!

The reason they're not being shown here is because they're still airing in Japan and we're catching up way too quickly with them as far as episodes. Therefore until there are more episodes to translate, they can't show new ones. At least it's not like Sailormoon that took 3-4 years and Stars aired in Japan to get Season 1 here... That was bad x_X

There are 167 episodes, and 4 movies.
There is also a fictional movie where Inuyasha dies that is not available anywhere.
As far as I know, I can't find any information about creating a new series along the same lines... so... it's over.

I was referring to this one:
Rumiko Takahashi states that she wanted to finally give the fans a chance for closure, and to close out any further movies for the series. "Inuyasha has come to mean many things for people, I [want] them to draw their own conclusions". The move has been considered very out of character for her, and is not popularwith many fans of the show.spoiler for 'Sengoku O-Togi Zoushi' wrote:
It's true, Inuyasha dies.
He goes to the future with Kagome and proposes to her in the fifth movie.
Unfortunately Naraku puts another (the last) shard in her brother and she tries to save him only to get captured, as usual. This time Inuyasha saves her, but has to do it in human form and gets poisoned. He dies in her arms during the night before the next day.
Kagome becomes angry from this and kills Naraku using her bow in the future, in a spectacular feat of animation. It's worth it just to watch that.
Inuyasha is buried at the shrine next to a stone that has Miroku and Sango's name on it.
With the show essentially over, the credits run, and we see her meet a boy that looks just like Inuyasha at her school at the end of the credits.
Or not.
There is no set date for this fictional movie to premiere. Apparently, it will not be imported into the US.

Um, from what source did you hear about this new Inu Yasha series? I checked over at Anime News Network and they don't say a thing about any more Inu Yasha after the fourth movie and the original TV series. Unless you heard this news by word of mouth and believed it to be factual, show us a reliable source to back up your claim.
Probably too busy to be here right now.

I've never understood why people get "annoyed" by things like tv shows. Is someone making you stay up until midnight, turn on the tv, and stare at it for the 30 minutes InuYasha is on? Or are they forcing you to purchase the DVDs? Or download the episodes? Or are you just bitching for no apparent reason?
Anyway, I liked InuYasha up until like the 80th episode, which is when I just couldn't see myself enjoying it any longer because it just turned into repetitive filler. That's kind of funny to hear myself complain about, seeing as I'm a Sailor Moon fan.
