I assume you mean Mugen from Samurai Champloo
if you don't want to get bashed, try something along the lines of:
I would want to be (insert anime character) because so and so has such and such ability. Such and such ability would be cool because whatever.

I'd like to be Ed from FMA (except taller). Being able to use alchemy would be great, no more broken coffe mugs or vases. Come to think about it, it really would help in moving from my house to my college dorm...

heh, well thanx for your advice, i'll try something along those lines but in my own words ... and i agree with him, you can't make ed tall ... it wouldn't be an ed if it wasn't short
