Two more candidates for the violence factor just realized have been left off here:

-Amon: The Apocalypse of Devilman (Beheadings, death by crossbow, demon people being diced into ribbons, and child-eating (that's right, Amon-mode Devilman starts wolfing down a kid's torso...and the kid was alive when he started to boot.)
...and that's just the highlights...

and

-The Ideon: Be Invoked (Yep...more brutality against children. Tomino hits his peak for 'Kill 'Em All' with this final battle of a movie...

They Might Be Spoilers wrote:the refugee-populated Solo Ship crew forced into one last fight with the warlike Buff Clan...and, to their credit, Solo Ship gives 'em Hell for it...albeit it's a case of going down in a blaze of glory (amongst the deaths, one crewmember has his arms pulled off in a blast, another gets a faceful of buck shot when she's the only one left holding one of the defense lines, a pregnant woman shot in the face by her own sister...and the death that made the movie infamous (...well...that and the fact they one-up EoE by obliterating the entire universe) a four-year old girl gets her head blown off in a firefight (it's a clean shot, which is worth something...but it's a very sudden 'Holy shit! They just killed a kid!' moment)

Watching things and charactesr beat each other in amazing displays of art might be great, but tears won't be forming on my eyes. Tears are good.
