To be honest, I really don't get why people think EoE is such a mindfuck. I mean, compared to the Utena movie, Eva's more like, I dunno, Cowboy Bebop or something.

hey i was watching evangelion a few days back when my friend bought the dvd, and i thought it was kind of weird when shinji killed asuka simply becuase she told him to, it kind of made me think that evangelion had no point for what was going on in the series. Man that was the weirdist ending i'v seen kinda sad but yet very weird. Did you guys think this was a weird ending.

First off, why in the Hell would Shinji kill Asuka? SHINJI, YOU BASTARD!!! I LOVED HER!!!

Secondly, I got that WTF feeling after watching the final episode of Evangelion last Saturday April 29. Does anyone know what was supposed to happen?

End Of Evangelion

Its the "true ending" of evangelion or so ive been told.

Actually the true ending is the end of episode 26. The End of Evangelion was written because fans of the show wanted a different ending, One that carries the instrumentality to a greater universal conclusion. The writer was very upset that people weren't satisfied with his story as he had written it. Death and Rebirth was written to create a better lead in to the rewritten ending in End of Evangelion.

I believe the " " around true ending were sposed to signify the double meaning of True ending, but thank you for pointing it out almost a month after i posted that.
