The manga IS way better than the anime, but that's how it is in most cases in anime *has read to chapter 304*

I don't hate the dub. I think that alot of it was done pretty well. You can't always look at one character for the entire show ya know. Especially considering how much focus is put on alot of the other characters, especially Sasuke. On that, i think that Sasuke's dubbed voice suits him well (and his VA can actually pronounce some things correctly!), and Anko, Shikamaru, Hinata, and alot of other character's voices suit them as well. I don't like Naruto's voice, but i'll easily agree that, by the point of Orochimaru's first appearance, it has definately gotten better, and hopefully, it'll continue to get better.
Thank u for sayin for what I wanted to say for a while but as the series makes a dark turn later on in the series, U might get what you want,He's gotta get serious

Ive come up with 2 possible thoughts baout it
A: they said to themselves "screw the action, lets shoot full full out comedy"

or

B:in the series hes a kid, not sure on his actuall age, but still.
E.G. if you got phone calls of death threats from 2 people, one voice sounded like a kid, and the athoer like an adult, which would you be more scared of?

I am a fan of Naruto, bought 3 games, have 3 headbands, not that that proves anything, but just saying I am a fan.

I've watched the dub a couple of times and got used to the voices "even Lee's" but as X-rex said, Naruto does sound like a whining child to me in the dub. He really sounds like he's going all out to say what he has to say in the sub but in the dub, I just hear noise, litterally.

Someone said "just read the manga". I am not much of a fan of manga. Some of the greatest things I love about Naruto are their voice actors, music "definitely", and fighting scenes. These are potrayed poorly if not at all in the manga.

Basically, back to what X-rex said, Naruto's voice doesn't sound serious when he needs to be in the dub. I personally think that we just aren't used to his voice though. I'd say we wait till the part where he fights Kabuto with Tsunade then decide.
