lol. You'd be technically correct considering how Capcom basically disowned DMC2 in Viewtiful Joe for ps1. To make a short story shorter, Dante explains that it was not him you play as in DMC2, but another devil hunter like himself--Enzo. (he's mentioned somewhere in the instruction manual for DMC1) lol
Of course, it's just a joke on Capcoms part, but even they're well aware of just how much part 2 sucked.

Except, if you read the manga and the novel, Enzo's a fat Italian dude. Somehow, I can't really seem him doing much devil hunting.

Of course, the even more hilarious rumor was that it was Vergil in DMC2. XD

but seriously, as you've more than likely realized, I haven't even touched the DMC manga much less read one. So sorry about that. I had no idea Enzo was a fat...and italian.

HUGE fan of the series (consisting of DMC and DMC3)
i've clocked in over 30 hours of gameplay on DMC3 and i've still got stuff to look forward to in it (spent most of the time upgrading all the styles)

Good production team for this so far, i'll definately watch and probably buy this series when it comes out, no way it can be bad (though it won't have the action that the games did)

didn't Madhouse do Ninja Scroll?
