Fanservice in Anime

.. one of the reasons why Naruto IS just a cartoon can be PINNED on his point of view on Fighting; no O-ca-gai ever wants to become "the distraction in a fight" and Naruto just doesn't get it! In theory, he was supposed to have this Great Ability yet we never see him use it; therefore Naruto is nothing but a Cartoon.

I can take it or leave it. There are a lot of good animes without fanservice and lots of good ones with fanservice. Ya, you can overdo it, for me anyway, depending on the anime. If it distracts from the story, then it's to much. Najica, Blitz Tactics has a lot of fanservice, but it just flows with the story, doesn't distract. Eiken, that one is a bit over the top for me. Then there are ones like Colorful, fanservice is the story, it's really funny.

It all comes down to what fits your taste. ....... I'll take a little good fanservice any time.

well, I may be a bit leniant when I say this, but vandread had a good moderation of fan-service, and it wasn't in totally unexpected places, it was very well balanced; if I remember the show right.

Just finished re-watching Vandred. There isn't a lot of fanservice, mostly Dura bouncing a bit, but it fits the show very well. A really funny anime "battle of the sexes".

yeah, my fav was when rintin is going up the latter, and the girl above him(can't remember the name to save my life) stops and his face goes up her skirt, and she starts laughing, AHAHAHA. halarious.

.. the Vandread Stages were good but I perfer something a little more open hearted

The second season definitely. First season didn't focus on fanservice nearly as much as the second. Definite improvement.
