Older series you'd like to see remastered/animated

Berserk Remastered came out like a month ago. I had one too, until I sent it back for a replacement due to some weird video skipping.

As for another season/OVA/movie? Maybe in a million years or so.

I knew about the remastered version, but all I want is another take on the series.

I'll chime in with one of my favorites, Magic Knight Rayearth. I'd take either a remaster or a redo.

There was an R2 remaster a couple years ago, but the R1s that keep getting rereleased are the same buggy, low-bitrate encodes we got in 2000 (especially the first season). I have plans to get the R2s, but they're very expensive ($500+ before shipping).

If there were a redo of it, I'd be very happy seeing the second season tightened up. While I love the show, the later episodes of the second season dragged pretty badly before picking up very quickly for the conclusion. And I'd love to see the manga's conclusion animated as well.

I love the show, but man, it's animation makes transformers look like high art.

Revolutionary Girl Utena. There's a recent remaster, but they basically just slapped some new filters on it. It's still shaky as hell. I'd love to see it completely redone---in the same style, but with today's technology and standards.

When I think Remaster it's just a clean-up and re-release of the original that came out so that you can sell it on a new, higher-quality medium. For that... I'd go for Golden Boy, and the original Mermaid's Scar and Mermaid's Forest OVAs (not the TV anime)

I'd love to see Berserk re-animated and re-told and yes to bring out the whole story :3 Well if not the WHOLE story, one that keeps true to the manga and covers all the major plot points from beginning to end.

I'd also love for Please Save My Earth to be reanimated into a full TV series because they cut it so short with just the ova... And it would be so gorgeous to see done with modern styles.

I'll also add Battle Angel (Gunnm) as a series I'd like to see remade. The OVAs barely went into the story and with James Cameron's big-screen adaptation seemingly on hold and my low faith in Hollywood doing a good job (or even Hong Kong), I think it's disappearing from many a person's radar.

From what I heard, the upcoming FMA isn't a remaster but rather a remake following the manga story so its not really a case of the animation quality.

I'd like to see Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden get an anime =D

Back on topic, Crest of the Stars was a bit choppy in presentation imo, and I'd like to see Great Teacher Onizuka reworked without the whacky facial expressions. Rurouni Kenshin TV needs to be remastered as a lot of the fights were a bit too static imo.

Also spaceship Yamato or Starblazers or whatever people prefer to that by, its really too old to enjoy =S Kinda like how the original Towards the Terra movie got remade and remastered into the epic TV series.
