It's very good. It's not exactly the deepest series, but it's very much what I've been looking for in terms of comedy/romance. It was good. It was my preferred/favorite title for a year or so, until being replaced by FLCL for another year, and finally giving way to Eva (just the other day).
The manga is great though. I own most of it in Japanese, and I've been having great time with it when I'm bored. Both fun AND useful
In general, the manga has a lot more of the comedy goodness (IMHO)

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

... *blinks* So? WHy do you think we like it so much ... Kietaro lives the live many of us would kill for. Besides ... being beaten around hinata inn all day by a bunch of goergus women can't be all that bad ...BishounenStalker wrote:The only thing I see it riding on is the heavily female cast for guys to drool at. It's yet another ho-hum pussy-boy-surrounded-by-gorgeous-women anime.

The storyline goes a little something like this:
Keitaro is a 20-year old two-year ronin (a person who has failed the entrance exams for getting into college) and has a downward spiral of a life. Not one girlfriend, poor grades, generally a wimp. His one true goal in life has been to get into Tokyo University, to keep a promise to his childhood love made when he was five. 15 years later, he has no trace of who she was, or where she is now. The story picks up from here.
He's invited to spend some time at his grandma's inn, called the Hinata Inn/House. Getting there, he accidentally makes a huge uproar of commotion when he gets into the hot springs, not knowing that it's the Girl's Hot Springs. That is until he bumps into a girl who is already in there. After much confusion and running around trying not to get castrated by the rest of the tenants, it's revealed to him that the inn has actually been turned into a girl's dormitory. In another startling revelation, he was invited there to become the new landlord.
Thus, the wackiness ensues. I recommend this anime to anyone who likes comedy or romance. It's got plenty of both.
