Yes! Someone agrees with me! Either that or I'm getting old...nope, you're right about the cartoons. This also applies to TV. It's mostly about popularity. There is hardly anything worth watching these days. I mean, who CARES who is the next American Idol. He or she will only be a memory after the next day.tacooe wrote:I don't know I don't really watch the cartoon channels any more, they're not the way they were back in my day. Seriously, cartoons for the most part have taken a nose dive since the Ninja Turtles. Maybe I've just out grown them but to me the plots and effort put into them have declined somewhat.
Anyway, America is running out of good ideas for TV shows. Pretty much the only TV shows worth watcing are Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy(Yes it's on CN), Premium Blend, and The Daily Show. There may be some more on my list but I can't seem to think of some right now at the moment. Anyway, you get the idea.
Cartoons have seem to go downhill, with possible exception to the Powerpuff Girls ^_^. That's why we have anime and anime on DVD, where there is action and interesting plots, and on DVD you can get to hear their original Japanese voices and see all the scenes uncut. Of course I'd like to hear all of you say any show that is worth seeing today besides those mentioned. In my opinion, they should have a network that broadcast these shows, or have Cartoon Network do what they are supposed to do and show these gone-but-not-forgotten cartoons on their station or on Boomerang (Of course there may be some like me who don't get Boomerang). I know, they need funds, but they're not going to get any money if they show some of the crap they show now! Oh well. Maybe it's best if you just buy them on DVD or VHS.
But then again, I may be getting old.
