Sorry I'm late. As it's been (more than) 24 hours since the first question was posted, and no one's correctly answered it, it's time to put up a second question (of course, the first one is still open).

Q1:

Okay, Gravion question.

After being cooped up in Sandman's castle for so long, Eiji decides to take a break and go into the nearby city, along with Toga, who's been at this castle since before he could remember. After they sneak out of the castle, these two (especially Toga, who's amazed at all the sights and sounds) spend their time going around, bumping into Eiji's old friends, beating up guys trying to pick them up (Oh, I didn't say how they snuck out, did I? ), and generally having fun. Of course, this brings up problems back at the ranch -- er, castle, since the Gran Knights would be unable to form Gravion while missing two of its pilots.

THE QUESTION: What was Eiji's main reason (or, at least, the one he talked about the most, even back at the castle) for getting to the city?

The students of Suguru's class (and one kinky teacher ) are introduced to Mahoro one day, when she personally delivers the dessert to him at school (she accidentally forgot to pack it in with his bento).

THE QUESTION: What exactly was the dessert?
