I still think they should be shot for changing Rei's name to Rei Ayanamiare.

That's like changing Evangelions into.. into... something that soudns like evangelion but isn't it. Like E-wang-gelion.

I don't know where they pulled Ayanamiare from, but I don't think that name should be even legal

naw. All you're missing is my bepuzzledness. I'm fairly certain Ayanamiare is about as likely in Japanese as McDonaldare in English

Actually, that's closer to how it would be pronounced in the original Greek. The upsilon, which should be pronounced U, got transliterated as a V. Hence, eh-u-angelion.

But who cares how the Greeks say it?
