Anime Trivia [Please read 1st post before posting questions]

Once more invoking the Necropost Immunity -- 48-hour rule . . .

This question comes from Jubei-chan: Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch. The answer leads to another anime.

On one morning, Jiyu wakes up to something obscuring her vision in her left eye -- and it's NOT the Lovely Eyepatch. Turns out her faithful attendant Koinosuke had a special iron mask made in order for "Jubei" to overcome a particular weakness.

Not necessarily a bad idea -- except for the fact the the mask is highly embarrassing. And no amount of protests (verbal and projectile) will cause Koinosuke to remove said mask from Jiyu's head. As it's a School Day, Jiyu heads out to school (mask still on). As she leaves her home, you hear her singing a highly recognizable song from another anime (messing up one of the words in the opening lines -- oddly appropriate given the situation).

THE QUESTION: What was the song Jiyu was singing, and what anime was it from?

AWW CRAP! What king of anime theme song would go well with singing while wearing a masked shaped like a toilet bowl and riding a bike to school!

Okay, I'm taking a stab at it here...

...Child's Toy "9 O' Clock News"... (both had the same director if I'm not mistaken)

Sorry, neither one (although I have to admit the Kodocha theme's not a bad guess -- it IS the same director). Question still open.

NOTE: this is in reference to the original Japanese version; the English dub did NOT use the same song.

From "genki" to "benjo ou," IIRC. It took rewatching Jubei to remember the tune, since the last time I saw it, I hadn't seen Totoro yet. ^_^

It's been a while since I tackled anime trivia, and now it's time to take a good stab at it again!

Here we go:

In the BomberMan series, usually the player assumes the role of BomberMan and his friends. In Saturn BomberMan, however, there were a number of other Hudson Soft characters that were playable. These included Bonk from Bonk's Adventure, Master Higgins from Adventure Island, Milon from Milon's Secret Castle, and also a VERY particular anime character who was in a OAV series that debuted in 1995.
