Uhmmmm...

I know where you're coming from and I certainly don't want to defend the kind of people you're talking about...

but this thread is about "Favorite Female Anime Characters."

For example: Ed is one of my favorite female anime characters, but that doesn't mean I have the "hots" for Ed. It's just that Ed is a great female character.

If someone lists Kiki or Sakura (from Cardcaptor Sakura) we can hope it's just because they are such great characters.

P.S. I agree with you about Hitomi from Escaflowne. She's a very strong character and one of the better characters in Escaflowne.

Good Point. It's just that at my local anime club during college CCS was the most popular show and the majority of people were male in there

. I might also add that when it was shown in japan, it was the highest ranked show among middle-aged men. Not to say that we didn't know that about the japanese though ^_^

P.S. I agree with you about Hitomi from Escaflowne. She's a very strong character and one of the better characters in Escaflowne.

Awesome! Near the beginning she's not very "strong" of a character, but later on she really develops into a great character which is why I like her. She is *so not* like a certain girl in FY whom I *hate.*

Although Hitomi is no Folken. He is sheer badass
