POSSIBLE SPOILERS! DO NOT PASS THIS POINT AND SLAM ME FOR KILLING A SERIES!
inuyasha is BADASS! the main plot makes many detours and i think the series should cut down on the filler episodes. personally, i would like the series more if he had more powers and not let the sword be his main weapon, i hate that because the hero would have a weakness once the weapon is gone(that did happen in the series) also, i think the brothers should be on approximately the same level in terms of fighting, even power. i felt pity for Inu and i hated that. me up to ep 74 now, so i might be wrong abt a few things. the length is really annoying too, i have to dl my stash of inuyasha episodes and it takes mad long

I have a question re InuYasha.
Does Eastern culture have a different view on 'Demons' than the west?
In Western culture a demon would never help a human that I am aware of, except maybe in Buffy:The Vampire Slayer. IIRC Kagome is a religious warrior person and Inuyasha is a half demon/half human.
Is Shippu a demon or a spirit?
Other than that I have just started watching it on CN and it rocks.

The Japanese term for what is translated as 'demon' in English in Inuyasha is 'youkai'. Unfortunately, translating 'youkai' as 'demon' is not the most accurate of things, since the youkai of Japanese mythology are nothing like the demons as seen through the Judeo-Christian understanding.
A better equivalent in Western mythology would be to compare youkai to faerie creatures like elves, goblins, etc, with the hanyou Inuyasha the equivalent of a half-elf or its ilk.
Unfortunately, because there isn't an exact translation for the word in English, the original manga translations and subsequently the anime simply called them demons for simplicity, despite the inaccuracy of the word.
And Shippou is a kitsune youkai (fox "demon").

How else love Inuyasha?
I've only seen the ones that Cartoon Network has shown but so far Inuyasha is a lovely show, in my opinion. Once I see the whole thing it may become one of my favorites, along with DBZ, Tenchi, Pilot Candidate, Rurouni Kenshin, Cowboy Bebop, Sailormoon, and a WHOLE bunch more! So far I luv the show.

I did skip some episodes of Inuyasha; but I did download the episodes with Inuyasha & Kagome scenes because I really like that couple . All in all, the show is really good. I also have a question about the show, how many episodes does the show have?! I know there are five seasons, but I don't know how many episodes it has.
