Weird dreams - Anime gone to your head

i watched slam dunk, and then i had this dream that i was an asskicking bball player in a wifebeater and pajamas, beating all their asses. my team was with a bunch of my friends. i kept getting the shots in. the funny thing is, i can't even run fast while dribbling a bball, much less play like a pro.

Last night actually, I had a dream where I was Love Hina's Keitaro, and got to feel what it was like to go through that great feeling of anticipated love, and also got to go through some wacky antics from the show as well. 8)
A couple months back, thanks to Rozard's EoE video "I Have Seen", I had a very very kick-ass dream involving Evangelion, picnics, slow-dancing with Asuka, pirates, and onions. I wrote it in my journal, so I'll just take it directly from that

I had such a cool dream last night. Weird and fun. Here goes:
I apparently am Shinji. All the main people from NERV (Gendo, Fuyutski, Ritsuko, Misato, etc) and Shinji's friends are all gathering for a picnic get-together thing. I look around and notice that everyone's here, and somebody mentions Kawarou not being here. I shrug it off and we all start eating.
After eating, everybody looks at each other and people get up to slow dance. Eventually, the table is left with Rei, me, Asuka, and Touji. Touji looks at Rei and smiles, as he gets up and gestures Rei to the dance floor. Rei smiles(!) back and gets up to go dance with Touji. As she gets up, I brush the back of my hand against her sleeveless arm. She looks down at me still sitting, as I smile at her and nod as if to say "good luck." She walks over to the dance floor, leaving me and Asuka to fend for ourselves.
Now, when I say I'm Shinji, I'm not saying I'm acting completely like him. In fact, I'm trying NOT to act like him. What I do next is totally anti-Shinji. I get up, walk over to where Asuka is sitting, and graciously bow and give my hand out to her. Obviously, she's surprised, and after a few seconds of looking at my hand as if it's about to bite her, she takes it and we move over to the dance floor.
Asuka starts dancing quickly despite it being a slow dance. I try to slow her down and eventually she does stop dancing fast. I dip her and bring her back up. I then twirl her slowly and softly, bringing her in my arms with our hands still held and her back to me. I move my head in to over her right shoulder, and very softly press my cheek to hers, admiring her beauty, her smell, her touch. I let go of one of her hands and face her. Asuka looks like she's about to cry, as if greatly confused, but at the same time it looks as though she's happy. Not a smile, but I could feel it from her. There was happiness in her that seemed impossible yet it was true...
What happens next is a blur. Time has skipped ahead, and everybody has laid down for the night. We're in the same place we had our meal earlier, with everyone on top of blankets or in sleeping bags. I however am still up. I'm leaning over a railing, looking out to the sea. There is a large mist covering up most of the area, making it hard to see all the way out. I hear something like a bell or a boat-toot. It wakes everyone up for a brief moment, then stops as everyone goes back to sleep. It sounds again but doesn't wake the others. I look into the distance and see, of all things, an old-fashioned ship like the ones you'd see in pirate movies.
It stops at where we are, as the pirates come off the ship and start talking to everyone (now waken up), I can't help but feel that they're here for me, for one reason or another. I notice Rei in the corner, standing there like a statue while the pirates don't notice her at all. I can't seem to find Asuka, which worries me and I look around to see if she's anywhere. I grasp my chest and realize I'm wearing a necklace of some kind. I pull it out of my shirt to find a small medal saying "HARVEY." A voice from behind me lurks up and surprises me saying "Are you all ready to go, Harvey DeBloom?" I turn and see some pirate who resembles Orlando Bloom. He looks like he's the leader.
Time skips ahead once again, and I'm getting aboard the pirate vessel. For some reason, I'm being an ass to Rei as I climb on. "Thanks for nothing," I yell as I get on. She makes no motion or facial reaction at all. Same look as before. The Orlando Bloom pirate mentions something about me wearing garlic and say that it's a tradition of some kind for me to be wearing garlic. He also mentions birds nests, which prompts me to say "Everybody get a bird's nest! Seriously, that's an order!" to all the NERV characters left behind on the picnic area. They all laugh at my weird comment as I dig inside my outfit again to see if I can find that garlic and get rid of it. Instead of garlic, I find apples. Fresh good-looking ones. The Orlando Bloom pirate sees the apple and says "Apples! Ooh, can I have one?" I toss him the apple and right before he catches it...
I wake up.
I get up to wonder what that was all about as I look at my clock and see that it's 12:26 PM. Half an hour later, here I am, typing up this dream that perplexed, haunted, intrigiued, and yet made me happy. I had a deeply romantic moment with someone. It didn't matter that it was Asuka, it could have been Rei or Misato. But beause I was that close to woman is making me almost tear up. The fact that I made Asuka smile was rewarding in itself. Seeing her eyes tear and her mouth arch upward, it was such a bewildering experience...
It's totally messed-up, but this dream has made me realize just how much I want to love someone right now, and make them happy. Wow...
