G Rated Anime

I saw it this year, and I don't feel I've gotten a "greater understanding" of it...come to think of it, I'm not sure I want to. It's an anime staple and I'm glad to have seen it at least once but I don't know if I'd want to see it again.

iv seen eva up to ep 17 and to tell u the truth i dont find it all the intresting. in fact its sorta boreing. i think its over rated and i also dont find it to confuseing though i hear it gets better in the end and also more confuseing. i also didnt find it that 'disturbing' as of yet and i dont think it will be disturbing but hey im giveing it a chance. i found some parts funny though

Although, of course, it's not something everyone likes. Frankly though, I find that it's from ep 16 or so that it really takes off.

Okay on a serious note. The best first anime for a kid is Angelic Layer. Or that one about a soccer team, I think it was called Shin Captain Tsubasa.

Seriously though... at that age they still think Barney rocks. You could show almost anything with lots of big cute monsters and they'd be happy. You might as well either get something so stupid that you go into a coma (suitable for North American children) or so complex that they just 'go goo-ga pretty colors' while you go "Hmm, so that's how space time works.
