in addition to VegettoEX's explanation...
i guess if you wanna really be impressed... here is kinda where the differences in main villans apply imo
...since you're asking so much about the series, it's kinda hard for me not to comment that you could have known all this from just watching the series... so in that case, i'll spoil further, again, I'LL SPOIL FURTHER!!!... that's my warning

Yeah, thanks for the LinkVegettoEX it actually helped a lot. (although, you are right I'm pretty sarcastic about DBZ on the whole)
I don't really have a problem with the series. Mind you I'm not so into it that I'm going to watch 300 or whatever eps just to find out what the deal is. The few disks that I have watched... I think I've seen something like 6 disks, didn't really do it much for me. But on the other hand, I've seen lots of videos that do. (Even ones that use Linkin Park)
Like the MeriC all purpose dragonball z video.
The thing is, it's obviously very popular. If I'm going to be getting bombarded with videos that deal with the series then it sort of helps if I know what the hell is going on. Like for example why the pink dude always kept changing, or why certain characters seem good in one setting and bad in another. I had one today that tried to tell me it was from a widescreen disk.. I had no idea. I'm told there are basically two widescreen movies out, and none of the episodes are 16:9.
---------<extreme digression>-----------
Additionally since it's so popular, I'm going to actually try to find the 'ultimate DBZ chapter' for a future tutorial project.
Although it's not finalized yet here is the general idea:
Put together a tuturial using the basic tool like dvd2avi, virtualdub and avisynth. Follow the guides where possible to maintain compatibility if they want to use the .org as a resource. Include a couple tiny .vob files to use as project files (They will have to be single chapters out of a several disks) and some trailer audio files. Assemble all this onto a single CDR and hand it out as a mid-term assignment to my students.
I'll probably include the demo versions of premiere, vegas, WMM2, and or links to such in the startup.
------------<end digression>-------------
So anyway, before this thread totally degenerates into a complete OT and gets killed, thanks for answering, even though the tone might be a little on the uh... cynical side.

Build a man a fire, and he will be warm for a night. Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life.
