Used to watch Voltron and Tranzor Z as a kid. Don't remember much of anything from back then(I was like 5 or 6), except hearing "Tranzor Z" on TV and a giant robot that looked like Voltron. Fuzzy memories, but oh well. But I didn't even know it was anime back then either. I got a little interest sparked upon seeing like the last half of Macross: Do You Remember Love? on one of those CBS specials in like 91 or 92. And some anime about a experimental tank that went nuts through a city, and a sub got blown up by a nuclear explosion at the end. I still don't know what it was, and it has bugged me for the last 12 something years. Anyone have ideas? Please?
Anyway, soon after I discovered Teknoman. Yay! The anime style looked familiar by this time, though I didn't know what it really was yet. Then I saw volume 1 of Urusei Yatsura at Blockbuster, unfortunately with one of those damned 18 and over only labels. I'm still pissed about it. So my interest was enough to wonder what was this stuff I kept seeing?
Then I saw a commercial for Sailor Moon(like a week before it even started here). Just had to see it, so I made sure I was able to watch the pilot episode they were showing. Well...half an hour was all it took, my future was already determined, though I didn't realize for a few years. Sailor Moon was what really got me into it all, fueled the obsession till I could branch out further, and is still one of my favorites.

Captain Tylor, does your name represent the show The misadventures of Captain Tylor. (sorry if I spelled it or also named it wrong)
Cause if it does then you didn't mention that great anime. I watched that on the international channel after uncut, unsubbed DBZ a few times.
Haven't heard a thing about it since.

Then it is time we get you into some real animes. What age group are we looking at here? So I can give GOOD suggestions. (just so I don't suggest Hellsing to an 11 year old. Just cause it happened for me doesn't mean it's gonna happen for everyone else )
