Yu Yu Hakusho [favorite character and couple]

I love Hiei, pretty much everything about him.

And I like Kurama, but as a BROTHER, you know? If I could have an older brother, it'd be him and Yoko... But I do love Hiei, as do a million other people... *sigh* But almost everyone else in the show is awesome in their own way I guess... Even Kuwabara.

Favorite girl character... Genkai or Shizuru. Both are pretty awesome.

And I don't think Hiei and Kurama are a couple.....

My fav character used to be Kuwabara, but much like with Usopp and Yamcha I grew tired of feeling sorry for them geting thier butts kicked all the time. So now my fav is Kurama followed by Hiei. I just love Kurama's powers and he has the best spirit form, and Hiei's just cool.

There really only seems to be 2 couples in the show, so I'll go with Kuwabra and Yukina for all the funny and cute scenes they provide.

Have you even watched Yu Yu Hakusho...? Do the names Sensui and Itsuki ring a bell? Not all the 'gay couples' people like are fanon created, that one is there in the original anime itself. So...if you think that's stupid, you think YYH is stupid for having that couple. It's one thing to dislike a fanon pairing, but there's nothing stupid about discussing canon couples - gay or otherwise.

I think everyone here knows there is no one paired with Kurama in the entire anime. The only person ever even *interested* in him (though he didn't return that interest) was Karasu (a guy) - and the girl in the 'Two Shots' manga excerpt (the 'First Time They Met' story about Kurama and Hiei - read it if you haven't yet). So while Kurama has had one guy and one girl lust after him, he didn't return it - he might as well be asexual as far as the canon is concerned.

Hiei, on the other hand, is paired with Mukuro (a female if you haven't seen the anime) - whether she's attracted to him or not, it's a canon pairing (but beware - they're partners much like Kurama and Kuronue, so if you consider Hiei/Mukuro a romantic pairing, you consider the same true of Kurama/Kuronue).

So durh, of course they aren't gay. Kurama's asexual, chased by men and women alike (guys in the anime, girls in the manga), and Hiei is paired up with half a woman (making her sexually inept). They aren't straight or gay, they're single.

Doesn't stop anyone from choosing to make a pairing in their own minds. ^_^

I'd pair him up with young Genkai, but as far as we know Hiei never came to the Ningenkai when she was younger, so it couldn't happen inside the anime (fanon would work, and dang if she isn't just the right size for Hiei). It would look better than her and Toguro, that's for sure. She barely reached Toguro's upper thighs, not even waist level. ^_^;;;

I agree with the Hiei and Yukina thing. If they weren't siblings I'd be all for them. Or maybe I'd just stick with him and Kurama since I like them both so much. XD

So... basically, Kurama and Hiei will not have actives sex lives in the series. Those poor healthy males. *shakes head*

Another scene I like is when Kurama was commenting (very loudly) to one Hiei-who-sits-on-the-window-ledge about how like a 'family' they were. Both were very aware that a certain ignorant Yukina sat in the midst of that "family". And of course Hiei tells him off to cover his embarassment. ^^

Anyhow, my favorite character is Kurama hands down. Runner up is Hiei.

My fav couple is... Call me crazy, but I think Botan and Kuwabara would make a good couple. Yukina deserves better!

I've always thought Shizuru and Yukina would make a good couple, though I also think Shizuru would get along well with Mukuro - their sense of humor being very similar. But that gets into female/female couples and hieis_shadow doesn't want us to talk about gay couples here. >.>

But yeah, Shizuru has the same sort of protective/appreciative nature as Kuwabara when it comes to Yukina, but is more mature, prettier (durh, of course she is), and definitely more suited for a koorime - since they consider mating with males to be the ultimate taboo. Just look at what happened to Hiei - does anyone honestly think Yukina would do that to another baby boy, just so she could mate with a guy?

Kuwabara doesn't stand a chance of anything other than platonic love - she'd never be intimate with him, not being what she is, and not with what she knows happened to her brother. Since koorime reproduce without male contact, it's pretty easy to see that they either make female/female relations, or do it all on their own - secure within their "all female" world. Either way, I think a girl suits her better than any guy, Kuwabara or someone else. And of the girls, Shizuru is the one I see working best with her.
