No, but seriously, I don't know why the hell somebody would want to change powerpuff girls into an anime. I mean, I'm sure someone probably considered it, but to use up all that money and effort to make that series... I just hope it's not as crappy as the original.

well if ya think about it, it has all the elements of an anime. cute girls, fights, a retarted-ass storyline. just now they don't have to worry about that... thinking... planning... originality crap.Zephyrias wrote: No, but seriously, I don't know why the hell somebody would want to change powerpuff girls into an anime. That's an accurate description of:Bulghod wrote: well if ya think about it, it has all the elements of an anime. cute girls, fights, a retarted-ass storyline. just now they don't have to worry about that... thinking... planning... originality crap.
Sailor Moon: "Look at me, I'm pretty with superpowers. *cough* Wonder Woman ripoff *cough*"
Beserk: "Oh look at me, I swing a big ass sword and have emotional issues/a-vendetta/ a-need-for-revenge and such as well." *cough* 50% of all anime stories *cough*
Gundam Wing: "Oh look at me, I have a mech! I also have emotional issues/a-vendetta/a-need-for-revenge and such as well"
Rurouni Kenshin / Samurai X "See: Beserk (Minus a really big sword. Replace with really, really sharp one)"
Don't feed people the line of crap that because it's American, it's crap and because it's Japanese it's "unique".
Few stories on either side are unique. It's the presentation and style that matter.

Well, you cant just see it as the whole "what the hell?! It used to be an american show? Now an anime?" Well not until you see it first hand, you cant really judge it, there have been plenty anime in general that people thought that would be ever good, but hey, its just my opinion anyway. That and I have a little sister who adores them so I'm just really sticking up for her
This life of mine is ending, my soul devouring me whole, but I wont give in to my destruction, my being of darkness

1) Anime itself, the creation of it, was a rip-off of Disney and Max Fleischer cartoons, along with Astroboy being a bit of a Mickey Mouse/superman ripoff
2) Kenshin isn't like Beserk in the way you describe, since there is the historical basis behind it. those characters did exist and all that. i know that doesn't sound all to original, but historically they did a fairly decent job.

Very true. The story itself does exsist. Kenshin is also not protrayed as a straight up documentary either.
Again, "I-have-a-vendetta-or-a-cross-to-bear-and-I-have-so-much-pain-and-heartache-you-couldn't-possibly-fathom-what-I-have-been-through" stories are still overused. In movies and in Anime.

If they made an anime for PPG then i would like to see what they would do if they had Teenage mutant ninja turtles to be an anime lol.
