Gihren Zabi, Basque Ohm, Korozo Ronah, and Haman Khan...they didn't even NEED the genetic separator. They were willing to kill purely because they were on one side of the turf and they wanted to kill the ones on the other side. (Except in Korozo's case, where it was anyone who didn't meet his standard as part of the Cosmic Nobility)
(That said, they didn't even bother with nukes...one opted for poison gas, another giant laser, a third picked colony drops, and Korozo designed his own delightful search and destroy killamajigs)

Char Aznable, who starts an entire war and kills thousands...just to settle his score with one man.

Ghinas Sakhalin, whose obsession with completing his pet project drove him to drug his staff, murder his friends and colleagues, and even try to kill his own sister.

Fonze Kagatie, who exploited the leaders of the Zanscare Empire to secretly push his own plan, which called for the wiping out of ALL life on Earth (allowing the Zanscare to repopulate...it's a plan that would have made Hugo Drax cream his shorts...)

By comparison to a lot of Gundam villains, Azrael's prettymuch old hat. Hell, even IN SEED there's more sinister characters.

Wow. So 1993's considered ancient for anime now?

Much to learn of anime, you still have, youngling.

(When 20 years old YOU reach, look as good, YOU will not...)

That said, it's pretty sad you haven't heard of any of the earlier Gundam titles, since SEED owes a LOT to prettymuch all of them...

(Gihren Zabi being from the original Mobile Suit Gundam, Basque Ohm and Haman Khan coming from Zeta Gundam, Korozo Ronah coming from Gundam F91, Char coming from several Gundam titles, but for this particular example Char's Counterattack, and Fonze Kagatie is from Victory Gundam)

Victory I could almost understand, given it's not been licensed yet, however, all of the other above have been licensed and available in the US for a bit now (Zeta was actually just released here last winter...got big boxset release and everything.)

No offense man, but if you've not heard of these, you've really got no one to blame but yourself here.

After just finishing Berserk, hell yeah! I whole-heartedly agree with you.

I would also have to say Kano from Texhnolyze
