TOO VIOLENT?! Buddy, you haven't seen much Anime, I can tell, and secondly, the screaming is common in Martial Arts shows; it's believed in Asian culture that screaming, or "doing a Kiai" causes one's ki to surface, thus making the person stronger - lots of cultures have the tradition shouting when charging into battle, but Asian cultures believe that one shouts before an attack in order to make it stronger (ask any Kendo person, it's true.)

Dragonball Z is a great anime to watch and it is realistic in certain ways.

When it talks about saiyans getting stronger after getting injured:
-When you work out your muscles tear (injury) when it heals itself it creates a bulge and tightens (strength)

If you look and pay attention, you can see many more. Violence rox.
You can only see so much when you just use your eyes.

I know only one bad show: the show of falsely assumed objectivity
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

.hack//LIMINALITY - I've only seen the first volume...but man -_-; I'm just glad it came for free with the game.

Reign the Conquerer is TEH bad, IF I WANTED TO LEARN ABOUT ALEXANDER THE GREAT I WOULD READ A BOOK ABOUT HIM, NOT WATCH A SKINNY GUY IN A THONG K THNX.

I found Crest of the Stars pretty unintersting, but that was mostly due to the horrid dub.

After watching the first few episodes of that one show with the psychic kids in that secret orginization thing....well, I really don't want to see any more.

Even though I am a big Gundam fan in general not even that could make me endure a showing of SD Gundam, I hate and despise it. Everything from the storyline and the voice actors to the animation was BAD. The man who envisioned so horrid a form of torture should face an excruiating death. Yes, he deserves an eternity strapped in a chair with nothing to do but watch his own accursed creation.

I was also disgusted by Reign and envision as similar fate for its creator. If I wanted to watch ugly men beat each other up while in their underware, I'd watch pro wrestling. :?

There are others but these are two that stick out the most and come immeadiately to mind.

There is one name in really bad looking animation, that gets pegged as anime, and his name is Peter Chung.

Peter Chung's illustrious career in animation all started when he worked on MTV's Liquid Television and did the remarkable Aeon Flux. Yes, she was an anorexic assassin from a dystopian future (common these days), but for MTV viewers and the time it came out, it was a real diamond in the rough. It paved the way for the HBO animated Spawn and THE MAXX (if anyone actually remembers that).

Peter Chung has gone on to do two notable things after Aeon Flux, one being Reign the Conqueror, and the other being his one (or was it two) segments in the Animatrix. I swear, that Marathon runner had one fugly looking body. His face wasn't too bad, but his muscles were just... eww!

The most notable thing about Peter Chung is that his characters look like haven't eaten EVER! I swear, the only way they must be sustaining themselves is by NEVER POOPING OR PEEING! It's got to be very painful, but OH SWEET CHRISTMAS DO THEY NEED A TWINKIE!

It'll pass through them and look just as fluffy and yellow as when they ingested it!

:shakes head:

The story isn't all bad. Some of Peter Chung's stuff is rather deep and nice for an artsy touch. His Animatrix stuff wasn't too bad.

But to classify his style as anime is REALLY stretching it! His stuff does not follow ANY of the typical anime and manga art conventions. In a sense, that's not a bad thing. But if you're going to do that...

...DON'T MAKE THE CHARACTERS LOOK LIKE THEY BELIEVE IN THE THEOLOGY OF HEROIN CHIQUE!

Unfortunately, this will never change as this is Peter Chung's style, and unless someone lobotomizes the section of his brain that controls art, then it's going to stay that way, whether you like it, or NOT!

Inuyasha, Because the show is basically an animated Soap Opera. And the plot gets so repetitive after awhile... Besides those two reasons, the original pairings of the show suck. And the anime does too much Kikyo bashing. All though I dont like her either, the anime doesnt follow the manga in the prospect that Kikyo isnt evil. And the anime doesnt follow the order of the manga.....

I like the Inuyasha series, but everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

Moving on.

I thought The Soul Taker was a bad one because it was just down right boring. Violence and FanService are always good, but something about this show, besides the very dark atmosphere, that I can't quite put my finger on, made me dislike it. :?

Please watch it dubbed, because the series (all the three seasons) are bloody awesome.

Now a real bad anime... Madlax was pretty boring, He is my master (new serie, currently being fansubbed), too. But I usually quit watching a series if it turns bad, so I usually watch 1-3 eps of a potentionally 'bad' anime before I quit.
