What makes you like/love your favorite anime(s)?

i do it because everyone else does. <_< well, that's with some things. MOst of the anime I own is because someone got me into it, like Scryed and Full Metal Alchemist. But I like my anime because of who the characters are like. JUst how they take a bunch of misfit characters, put them all in one place, and have them do... well... stuff. That's why I like anime like Cowboy Bebop and Candidate for Goddess so much. There's always something for someone.

Characters are number one for me liking an anime. If I can't identify with at least one of the characters I'm not gonna like it. This has happend to Infinite Ryvirus (sp), DevilMan Lady, Gasaraki, Debutant Detectives, Wolf's Rain...can you see the list growing? My tastes other than that really ranges. I like to see different things and generas. I have to say that story will come second because I got into some things I normally would not have because of the story did a 1,2 punch on me like Big O. However, story cannot compare to the characters. I can still like something with no real plot as long as the people are interesting.

I'd have to say the.... story, comedy, hotness, and sometimes the art.
