What exactly IS a 'hardcore' anime fan?

Possibly a person who collects tons of anime and has insomnia. And let's not forget that collects only anime soundtrack, and watches many AMVs.

I am surrounded by those who casually toss out various anime terms, who mostly don't need the subtitles, who go to cons, who know/have so much more anime ... they are the hardcore. I am not worthy.

Hard core? Possibly someone who can watch all 52 eps of Fushigi Yuugi in one sitting, but only if it's subtitled .... then move on to something more *uplifting* like ... Lain? Perfect Blue?

They would also be on the constant lookout for those already sucked into the anime realm or possible converts... like my boyfriend; slowly, slowly, he loves Trigun already and Kurumi...

thats not hardcore, thats creepy, its not like having a 5foot wallscroll of your favorite character, but the one guy actually took the time to put a towel on her and hold hre like a real women, and i thought i was nuts for having a 5inch plush of Asuka and a collection of keychains.
